From Statistics to Solutions: Family Dynamics and Recovery
The statistics are alarming, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, teen drug overdose deaths rose 19% from 2014 to 2015 in the United States. There were 772 drug overdose deaths among U.S. teens ages 15 to 19 in 2015, the report notes.
This year we are going to focus on family dynamics and recovery. This conference is focused on creating solutions to the issue of youth substance use through collaboration. We are seeking nearly 20 local and national experts to speak in a series of panels throughout the day. Hundreds of professionals including social workers, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, nurses, educators, law enforcement professionals, and government officials will be in attendance. Last year’s conference hosted over 400 professionals, this year we are looking forward to another great professional turnout and increased attendance by parents and community members.
